We stumbled upon BidSauce, a new penny auctions website which is supposed to be the #1 Online Penny Auction, and we were very confused about whether or not it actually works. When we saw the site initially, it looked really good, there were tons of products which you can win and many people participating in the auctions.
We decided to start bidding ourselves to really get an idea of how it all works and to see if it actually works. First, we signed up for BidSauce and bought a bidpack of 250 bids. Then, we checked out the site and looked at all the cool products that they had available in the auctions. There were cameras, gift cards, mp3 players, swiss army knives, and more!
The way penny auctions work is quite simple, every auction starts at $0.01 and has a time limit until it ends… every bid you place adds $0.01 and ten seconds to the timer. Once the timer runs out, the winner is crowned and they win the product at the final price which is always much cheaper than if you were to buy the product at retail price.
The auction we chose to bid on was a new Zune 16GB mp3 player. We started bidding and continued bidding for about 10 minutes until, to our surprise, the auction ended and we were the winner! It took about 2 1/2 weeks for the product to be shipped to us and when we received it, it looked perfect condition.
From this wonderful experience, we’ve started using BidSauce more and more and we’ve won a few more auctions. We’d love to find out how you do as well so please leave your comments below and be sure to check it out and start bidding now if you haven’t already got an account!
